Council News

  • Go Camping!
Did you know that our camps are open to the public and not just Scouts? We offer pre-built camping adventures that are perfect for family reunions, girls camps, youth conferences, church groups etc. Groups, families and others can work closely with the local BSA council experts to build a program that fits their goals. Or, take advantage of the campgrounds for a nice weekend of camping. Click on the title above to Go Camping today!
  • Spend Less Time Fundraising and More Time Scouting!
Did you know that popcorn is the #1 fundraising platform for Scouts? Because of its high success rates and return benefits, Scouts can spend less time fundraising and more time Scouting! We're hosting a Trail's End Popcorn Kickoff on September 25th to get Scouts and their units (packs and troops) started on the right foot and excited about funding their dream year of Scouting.
  • Join Nights Happening NOW, Near You!
We're excited to announce that new Cub Scout packs and Scout troops are now forming in your area for all youth five and older! You and your family and friends are invited to Join Nights happening near you. Click on the title above for all dates and locations.
  • 2019 Duty to God Buffalo Award
This year's award is a necklace with a realistic, western-style buffalo skull and a swiveling medallion in the center that shows the Duty to God shield on one side and Matthew 5:16 on the reverse. This collectible item is one-of-a-kind and a good reminder of Scouting's focus on Duty to God. Learn more information by clicking the title above.
  • CHECK IT OUT! 2019 Merit Badge Adventures Still Going
We've heard you loud and clear - provide more merit badge opportunities year round! Merit Badge Adventures is just that, a Friday through Saturday adventure at one of our Scout camps that focus on helping youth work on one or more Eagle required merit badges! Troops can now combine their monthly campout with merit badge work - no extra work for the adult leaders, and great opportunities for the youth.
  • Want to continue the adventure? Become a Scouting Ambassador
Scouting Ambassadors should be active in their local communities, know business and community leaders, and have a passion and the means to help Scouting move forward. Learn more about Scouting Ambassadors today.
