Sign up Now for Winter Klondikes

Winter Klondike derbies are the perfect opportunity to get in your monthly camping activity while enjoying a Scout's winter wonderland at Camp Maple Dell. This overnight adventure is available for troops, young women, and all youth aged 11-18. Leaders get in for free. 2019 Summer Camp Classes Open in January—Sign Up Today For Priority Registration

Did you know that most of our 13 council camps are open for 2019 registration? That also means that merit badge classes will open for registration soon, so don’t wait to sign up for camp. Currently, classes for Camp Maple Dell are open and our other camps will open later this month. Those who have registered for camp will have first-pick to sign up for classes, and they will fill fast! So, don’t miss out on the classes you and your Scouts really want to take and register today. If you need help registering or have any questions about our Scout Camps, please email help@utahscouts.org. Spots fill quickly and classes will soon become limited, so register today!

Be Prepared for Scouts BSA—Girls Can Join February 2019

It has been a long time coming! Girls ages 11-17 can finally join Scouting this February. Using the same curriculum as the current Boy Scouts program, the organization is also scheduled to launch Scouts BSA in February 2019, which will serve boy troops and girl troops, enabling all eligible youth to earn the Eagle Scout rank (Scouts BSA troops will be single gender – all girl or all boy). This unique approach allows the organization to maintain the integrity of the single-gender model while also meeting the needs of today’s families. Attend the Utah County College of Commissioner Science on January 19th

Commissioner College is one of the best ways for commissioners to get continuing education in their critical role. Every unit deserves a Unit Commissioner and this may just be the perfect volunteer spot for you. Our council will soon be in need of lots more “New-Unit” Commissioners to help new units succeed. Scouting Ambassadors will also find critical training and information at the college. Registration is only $10 ($15 with lunch). It’s a low-cost, high-quality day of training and networking with other commissioners and dedicated Scouters. Register here!
